Cristina and Jon were married on June 28th with a ceremony and reception at Misselwood Events at Endicott College.
Cristina and Jon met through a mutual friend, Jenn, who thought the pair would be a perfect match. They all went out together for drinks and instantly clicked. Cristina had mentioned to her friend that Jonny was different than most guys she had dated and that she was going to marry him one day. As soon as Cristina left the bar, Jonny texted her asking if she would like to go out on a date the next day. She instantly replied and they have been inseparable ever since.
I asked Cristina about their proposal and she shared this super sweet story with me –
” Jonny had planned a trip to New York for the weekend because we both have never been. We checked into the hotel and while waiting for our room we had a drink at the hotel bar. Our room was ready and we went up to put our things away. We decided that we were going to check out Central Park so I went into the bathroom to fix my hair and makeup. I opened up the door and he was staring at me and I said “ what?”. Just his eyes looked over at my bedside where there was a little box. We both walked over and he took the box and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes while crying through all the makeup I had just put on. I was jumping up and down with excitement. After calling all our family and friends, we finally went over to see Central Park but all I could look at was my ring.
According to my mother and Jonny, he had many ideas how he was going to propose but got too nervous and couldn’t wait. Which is such a Jonny move and that’s why it was perfect for me! I loved that it was just the two of us sharing that special moment.”
My second shooter and I met the couple at Misselwood at Endicott College. Misselwood is an oceanfront estate that is part of the Endicott campus. It was a bright and sunny day and perfect for a wedding. The couple chose the venue because of their love for the ocean and this venue had it all. The area surrounding the beautiful historic brick building was a picturesque setting. With rolling hills, cliffs overlooking the water, and a vast view of the ocean from the ceremony site.
The couple exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones and then moved the party into the grand tent for their reception. The night rolled on with a sweet first dance with the whole wedding party singing along and speeches that had everyone teary eyed. The Dj got everyone up as soon as dinner was done and oh boy, did this crew dance! The wedding party was made up of a lot of their siblings, so it was super fun to watch them all getting down on the dance floor together. What a family affair!
Cristina and Jon, it was such an incredible pleasure to share part of your love story with you. The day was truly magical. Enjoy St. Lucia, newlyweds!
