Kimberly and Timothy were married on July 26th, with a ceremony and reception at Saint Clements Castle in Portland, CT.
The couple chose the venue because of the ornate castle, the beautiful gardens, and the view of the water. The grand estate has been restored to reflect timeless elegance and overlooks one mile of the Scenic Connecticut River. Tucked away in the town of Preston, it really was the perfect setting for their wedding day.
On the day of the wedding, my second shooter and I started out at the Inn at Middletown to photograph the final preparations before the ceremony. When I got to the hotel room, all the girls were in the best spirits and I knew right away it was going to be an amazing day. Once Kimberly was ready, we traveled to Saint Clements Castle for the couple’s first look.
When we arrived at the castle, I found Tim waiting outside to see his bride. The first look was incredible to witness! The couple has been dating for 11 years and were so EXCITED to see each other. This truly was the theme throughout the whole day, you could really feel the joy that they bring to each other.
The ceremony was officiated by a dear friend and they also had friends playing violin and cello at the ceremony. The love surrounding them while they exchanged vows was beautiful and the photos reflect the pure excitement they had to be married. After the kiss and cheers, the couple walked hand in hand down the aisle to the song ” I got you babe”.
Kimberly and Tim, thank you for being so incredibly kind and welcoming on your wedding day. You honored everyone around you in such thoughtful ways and I am grateful to call you friends.
xx,
