Kenny and Rebecca were married on August 4th, with a ceremony at Saint Patrick Church and a reception at The Branford House in Groton, CT.
These two met when at Western New England College and fell for each-other fast. Kenny knew she was the one and planned out the perfect proposal for Rebecca. He took Rebecca to the Saybrook Point Inn and after dinner he proposed on the dock by the lighthouse. Talk about romantic! * swoooon*
On the day of the wedding, my second shooter, Olivia, and I started out in Mystic to photograph the final preparations before the ceremony. I met Rebecca at the Whalers Inn and photographed her stunning details. Her style was spot on and her dress + shoes were perfectly paired. Once Rebecca was ready we traveled down the street to the ceremony where emotions were running high.
One of my favorite parts of the day was watching Rebecca walk down the aisle with her father. The admiration in his eyes every time he looked at her could bring anyone to tears. His face was beaming from ear to ear with the biggest smile and you could see how proud he was of her. Father daughter moments are some of my favorite moments to capture. Of course Kenny also had the biggest smile on his face watching his soon to be wife walk towards him to begin the ceremony.
Rebecca and Kenny chose their wedding venue because of the stunning architecture and ocean backdrop. The Branford house was built in the 19th century and modeled after the famous Newport mansions. Located on the Connecticut shoreline with a panoramic ocean view therefore it really is the perfect setting for a seaside wedding. The interior of the Branford House is absolutely stunning with hand- carved wood panels, carved grand staircase and a ballroom that ties it all together.
It was truly a joy to watch these two interact with each-other in such an incredibly gentle and loving way. It rained for half of the day which will always add a bit of stress but once Rebecca and Kenny were able to be together nothing else mattered. Right when we were about to leave the sun came out and made the most epic of sunsets! We were able to get outside and take photos by the lighthouse and the ocean like they had hoped for and they were beyond thrilled.
Rebecca and Kenny, you two complement each other so well, and I am so thrilled for you guys. I am blessed to have met the both of you and look forward to seeing your many more adventures to come. Cheers to a bright future!
