Isabel and Brian were married on November 2nd, with a ceremony and reception at Haley Mansion at The Inn at Mystic.
Isabel loves the water and was really excited to walk along the river. Brian walked Isabel out to a dock near the river and told her how much he loved her. It was freezing and Isabel just wanted to get back to a warm coffee shop. She turned around to walk off the dock when Brian called her back. Isabel turned around to find him tearing and reaching his hand into his pocket. She was shocked but it was adorable and perfect. It also helped that no one was around so they got to enjoy the moment completely to themselves (except for two ducks swimming by the dock).
On the day of the wedding, my second shooter, Jess and I met the couple in Mystic where they were getting ready. They were both sharing the mansion prepping for the day with their closest friends and family. They shared a first look in the front yard overlooking the water and when Brian saw Isabel, the tears were flowing! It was such a sweet moment to witness as they shared a moment as soon-to-be newlyweds. The ceremony was nestled in the backyard and the surrounding tree foliage created the perfect autumn backdrop. They exchanged vows as the sun was setting and their loved ones close by.
The sky at sunset was very dark and cloudy but there was one small opening with an intense red/orange glow. We were able to get a few portraits of the couple when they sneaked away from cocktail hour just in time for that last bit of color to fall under the horizon. Isabel is a wedding coordinator herself, so it was very fun to see all of her details and ideas come together along with all the guests enjoying them in the room.
Brian and Isabel, what a true honor it was! Thank you for inviting me into your hearts and letting me capture such joyous moments. I look forward to our future friendship!
