Aneliya and Chad were married on September 24th with a ceremony and reception at the Haley Mansion at the Inn of Mystic.
Chad is a bartender and he met Aneliya at the bar where he works. She gave him her phone number, but then they chased each other for two whole years before they finally ended up going out. Once they were together, the rest, as they say, is history.
After Aneliya finished grad school, she and Chad were moving out of their first apartment. So, all of their things were packed up into boxes and they were just making the final passes to clean up around the apartment. When Aneliya was vacuuming in a corner, Chad asked for her help with one last box. When she turned, there he was on one knee, holding a box with my ring in it.
These two love to watch movies, go to the beach as much as they can, drink wine, eat good food, and travel. When asked what she loves about her partner, Aneliya answered, “He has one of the kindest hearts. He would do anything for his family and friends. He reads people and the world the same way I do. Most of all, I love that he is a free spirit and life is an adventure for him, making it an adventure for me. Oh, and of course– he is very handsome.”
Their wedding day was a stunning autumn day with a soft and gentle breeze that was kicking up off the Long Island Sound. I thought it was so fitting that these two amazing people who love going to the beach as often as they can would get married right on the water. The Inn at Mystic’s Haley Mansion is exquisite. I started off the day photographing Chad and then went over to catch Aneliya get into her dress and to capture some bridal portraits. Aneliya’s stunning gown by Mariana Liana was magnificent. Its elegant lace train and the long, delicate veil she wore were simply breathtaking.
All the family and friends that joined these two were amazing. It was a great group and the speeches stood out to me. The brother and sister in law speeches very funny and heartfelt. Of course, when their sister-in-law made a rap for them, it was simply AHHMAZING. Then, when it was time for dad’s speech, there was not a dry eye in the room. He played a slideshow of photos of Aneliya growing up. It was a powerful, funny and emotional speech. He clearly loves Chad and Aneliya very much.
The celebrations and smiles continued into the evening. Since Aneliya and her family are originally from Bulgaria, as a special treat there were some traditional Bulgarian dances to get the party going! It was so much fun and I was impressed with how many great dancers there were at the wedding.
Aneliya and Chad, thank you for inviting me into your heart. You two have hearts of gold and the people that surrounded you on your wedding day represented that. I wish you all the love + blessings towards a wonderful marriage.
xx,
Amma
