Jack and Libby were married on September 7th with a ceremony and a reception at Stone Acres Farm in Stonington, CT.
It was the perfect September day with soft billowing clouds sailing by and the sun peeking through. I started the day with the ladies at Stone Acres Farm and the fellas were at the Stone House in Stonington. This was my first wedding shooting film images and the farm was an inspiring setting, to say the least.
Stone Acres Farm is a sixty-three acre working farm with historic formal boxwood gardens, greenhouses and rolling meadows. The farm holds a 200 year history that supports local agriculture and community. The property has over forty varieties of daffodils and hundreds of varieties of plants, flowers and trees many of which were gifts from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York. It was the perfect setting nestled away in Stonington to host their friends and family. They shared their vows in the farm’s magical formal garden surrounded by their loved ones. The guests then headed to cocktail hour to enjoy delicious cocktails while the sun was setting.
After the ceremony, Jack and Libby were introduced and led into the reception by a bagpiper. The couple then shared a choreographed first dance and performed their hearts out! After the first dance, the guests surprised them with a dance mob to the song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. Those two performances set the tone for the guests to party the night away with a little help from the band, Search Party, who rocked it!
Jack and Libby, what an honor it was to walk beside you on your wedding day. From the engagement to the wedding, there have been so many amazing memories shared and captured. I’m so excited to watch all of your future adventures and wish you all the love in the whole universe.
