Hayley and Mike were married on October 7th, with a ceremony at St. John’s the Evangelist Church in Swampscott and a reception at the Courtyard Boston.
Hayley and Mike met at Nordstrom’s in the women’s shoe department, where Mike was the manager. They both have a great eye for fashion, and Hayley had a huge crush on him the whole time they were working together. As soon as he became single, she says that’s when she made her move, though Mike insists he was the one to make the move.
Once they started dating, it was clear they were crazy about each other. Hayley describes him as her “dream guy,” and Mike simply can’t stop smiling when she’s around. Clearly, these two were meant to be, so they got engaged in Bermuda at the Princess Hotel under the romantic moon gate. It’s supposed to be good luck to kiss under that gate, so they did!
On the day of the wedding, my second shooter, Kayla Marie, and I started out with the “getting ready” pictures. I met Hayley in Swampscott for portraits and got to hang out with her bridesmaids for a while as well, which was so much fun. Mike, of course, was preparing for the day with his guys, including his twin brother, who clearly couldn’t have been more excited for Mike.
Hayley looked stunning in her dress, of course, but these two fashionable people weren’t going to limit their wedding day to a single outfit. Instead, Hayley had a second party dress that she wore for the reception—and the two of them were reintroduced at the Courtyard like celebrities. That was my favorite moment of the whole day. The energy in the room was amazing, and their expressions were nothing short of pure joy.
Hayley & Mike, the way you two make each other smile is contagious. You two are the perfect match, and I am so thrilled to have stood beside you on your wedding day. Enjoy Paris, lovebirds!
