Faith and Scott were married on the 21st of September with a ceremony and reception at the Bee and Thistle Inn in Old Lyme, Ct.
The couple met while working at Four Seasons Resort in Lana’i Hawaii. Faith came out to Lana’i from Palm Beach to help the property out for a few months towards summer. Scott was living and working on Lana’i for a little over a year at the time. While their relationship began at work, their love grew outside of work and these two fell for each other. It wasn’t long until their relationship grew and Scott decided to plan the proposal
While visiting Europe last summer, Scott decided that it was the perfect setting to honor the love of his life. They were in Champagne, France at a beautiful little park just outside of the Moet & Chandon house while they were doing a Champagne tour. He popped the question and she said yes! What an amazing location for a proposal Scott!!
Their wedding day started out beautiful with the perfect September sun in the sky and no clouds in sight. My second shooter and I showed up at The Bee and Thistle Inn to document the preparations before the ceremony. They both were in great spirits and their large bridal party was encouraging them with laughter and cheer.
They shared a very fun first look before heading down to the water for the ceremony. Before I told Scott he could turn around to see her – he turned around with his eyes closed as a joke to Faith. Faith yelled and put her hands over her face but then bursted out laughing. You can tell this wasn’t the first time Scott had joked around with Faith and I loved how they played around with each other all day. They kept it light and fun, which we love!
The reception was held inside a gorgeous tent in the backyard of the Inn. Scott and Faith are both in the food and beverage industry, so no details were forgotten. They did an amazing job coordinating and planning their party for their guests from across the country, being that they live in California.
After all the formalities, the dancing began and the party started. This group had no shortage of fun and they all danced and laughed the night away. The guests were fed, given signature cocktails and even a donut board for late night munchies. A bridesmaid surprised the couple with beautiful Leis which was in celebration of the couple meeting in Hawaii. They finished the night running through sparklers with their leis on and incredibly huge smiles.
Scott and Faith, I have had so much fun with you from the engagement session to the wedding. I love how lighthearted you both are and you really are a perfect match. Thank you for sharing your hearts with me and I look forward to watching your adventure unfold. Laughing hysterically I am sure!
Keep slaying it in Bali lovebirds!
