Angela and Sam were married on May 4th with ceremony and a reception at The Eisenhower House in Newport, Rhode Island.
Sam and Angela first connected in Mystic, Conn where they shared a first date followed by ice cream on the river. They fell for each other quickly and knew it was something more. Sam loves that Angela is a strong and confident woman that shows passion when it matters most. Angela loves his kindness, intelligence, creativity, open-mindedness, curiosity and laugh.
The couple was married at The Eisenhower House in Newport, RI; a nod to Sam currently serving in the United States Navy. This beautiful estate is situated on Fort Adams with sweeping views of the Newport Bridge and is the perfect setting.
When I arrived to the bridal suite at the Eisenhower House, there were pretty flowers, cute ring bearers and many smiling faces greeting me. Angela’s mama started to cry when she got into her dress and it was such an intimate, sweet moment. Angela’s dress was unlike anything I have ever seen with a long train that added the perfect amount of sophistication to her fun and classy style.
I set Angela up for a first look with her dad and he started crying when he saw her. There is just something so sweet about the connections fathers have with their daughters on wedding days! And of course every time a dad sheds a tear, I shed one right along with them!
Sam and Angela’s wedding day was filled with such incredible joy! I can still hear Sam’s laughter and how he genuinely wanted to make his bride laugh and smile all day, which he succeeded by leaps and bounds. You know when you witness two people look at each other with such sheer happiness? That was me all day long and I was so grateful to have been invited to the party.
Sam and Angela, thank you for sharing a piece of your heart on your wedding day with me. Your friends and family surrounded you with so much love and that’s a true sentiment to how amazing the both of you are.
