Carol and Greg were married on August 31st with a ceremony and reception at the Hayley Mansion in Mystic.
From the bride –
“We met in 2012 on New Years Eve in Cabo! I was there with a girlfriend from home (who will also be a bridesmaid at the wedding!) and Greg happened to be staying at the same hotel. We met at the hotel bar and ended up staying in touch – Greg flew back to the East Coast a few times after the trip and after a few months of going on dates, we decided to give long distance a shot.”
The weather that morning was absolutely perfect with the right amount of breeze and some nice cloud coverage. The Inn at Mystic’s Haley Mansion sits on top of a hill overlooking the Long Island Sound. We met right in front of the mansion for the first look, where they both had so much fun seeing each other and sharing quiet moments together away from all the chaos that comes with planning a wedding.
Carol and Greg shared a massive wedding party with a total of 20 near and dear friends. The group had a blast and kept it light and happy for the couple. Carol had two maid of honors, which I thought was so much fun. I walked down the hall and saw Carol standing next to her maid of honor holding a napkin with happy tears rolling down her face. They told me that before Carol met Greg, the friends had sat down and wrote out all the characteristics Carol wanted in a partner on that napkin. And then they proclaimed, they were all Greg! This was such a sweet moment shared between dear friends.
The couple shared vows on the back lawn of the mansion and then guests joined each other on the patio for cocktail hour. The couple was introduced and surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance, which they absolutely nailed. The party then changed to a choreographed father/daughter dance, heartfelt speeches and cupcakes galore.
Carol and Greg, thank you for sharing your heart with me! I truly could feel your love and how happy you two make each other. I am so excited for your future.
