Daria and Ryan were married on October 8th, with a ceremony and reception at the Madison Beach Hotel.
Ryan and Daria know how to have fun and love to go skiing—which is why Ryan decided to propose during a ski trip in Canada. Ryan pulled off to the side “to fix his boot,” and the next thing Daria knew, he was down on one knee!
The thing I love most about Daria and Ryan is how genuine they are. They balance each other out and honestly enjoy being around each other, and it’s those moments that they spend alone together when their best selves come out. I especially loved when they would pull faces at each other. They are such goofballs at heart, so when their silly sides came out, I couldn’t get over how sweet they were as they made each other laugh.
I was also struck by the incredible love that the guests brought to this wedding. There were so many tears and hugs; there was so much laughter and celebration—that profound love wound its way through everything. It was obvious that their families were really close, and their warmth simply lit up the whole day.
Of course, my second shooter, Sissela, and I were a little bit worried about the weather when we arrived at the Madison Beach Hotel for the wedding. Their ceremony was set to be held down by the beach, and we kept our fingers tightly crossed that the rain would hold off. Thankfully, our good luck held out, and these two were able to get the gorgeous beachside wedding they wanted!
Daria and Ryan, I’m so glad the rain held off for you two and that your wedding day turned out to be one that you will cherish forever. Your family and friends brought so much love to the wedding, and you are surrounded by truly amazing people. Here’s to a million more goofy faces together!
